secure payment options

Our on-line store securely processes card payments from Visa, Mastercard, Amex and PayPal using PayPal via our SSL fully secured checkout. More information on PayPal can be found here: paypal.com

We can also accept card payment by telephone on 01980 626420 between 10am and 4pm.

delivery charges

Shipping costs are calculated on the total weight of items purchased. To see shipping costs add items to the Basket then click Checkout. In checkout select your country from the drop down menu on the shipping estimator and then click show shipping to update the basket. You do not need to register or log in to view the shipping estimator.

Standard Delivery
Our standard delivery service usually dispatches daily on normal working days with items either sent via Royal Mail 1st class 'Signed For' post or for heavier items Parcelforce 48, UPS or Hermes. All services are tracked and require a signature on delivery. Delivery times for our standard service is around 2-3 days. Saturday delivery may occur for some services but generally Parcelforce and UPS will deliver on a week day. You can leave a 'safe place' message in the comments box when placing an order as some services allow signed for items to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour if one has been specified although we cannot guarantee that the courier we use will act on a safe place instruction.

Express Delivery
Currently we just do not have the resources to offer a next day delivery service however all our orders are usually packed overnight for next working day dispatch and depending on value and size either dispatched by 1st class or 1st class signed for post or Parcelforce 48, UPS and Hermes for heavier items, normally arriving, on average, with our customers between a day and three days after dispatch. Please note that for larger parcels we may provide your email address and, or, mobile phone number to our chosen delivery service to help them provide you with tracking information for your delivery and to advise you when a delivery attempt will be made.

International Delivery
Our overseas orders are dispatched by Royal Mail using a tracked or signed service with a maximum shipping weight of 1kg. If you basket weight exceeds 1kg no shipping options will be shown. Delivery takes around 3-10 days depending on your destination. Please read our important information for overseas customers below before placing an order.

Click and Collect

Our click and collect service is only available to customers who are able to visit our shop in Amesbury to collect their orders.
By selecting this option during checkout you will still proceed through checkout as normal and pay for your order in full at the end of the checkout process. You order will be picked and made available for collection from our Amesbury shop during our normal opening hours the following working day with the option for you to collect either during the morning or afternoon.
We will email you with a confirmation that your order is complete and ready to collect and provide details of which dates and times collection is available.
Please bring a copy of your confirmation email (printed or displayed on your phone) or some form of ID with you when collecting your order.
Do not select our click and collect service if you are unable to collect in person from our shop in Amesbury. Doing so by mistake and expecting free postal delivery will result in us contacting you to arrange payment for the shipping due or could result in the cancellation of your order. This service is only available to UK customers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS:

This site quotes all prices in GBP Sterling only, when purchasing from overseas the exchange rate used will be set by your credit card provider or payment provider and will show as charged in your own local currency. If you require additional information on the exact exchange rates which will be used you should contact you card or payment provider.

Overseas customers including those in the EU and Northern Ireland may incur import taxes and customs duty or shipping company handling charges on their purchases depending on their own countries import policies. One Brown Cow Ltd. are not liable for any import charges or fees added at point of entry on any purchases made. These are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Free Shipping Offer

Free shipping is currently available on UK only orders of £50.00 and over (unless a free shipping weekend promotion is available in which case a lower order value may apply.) We will use the most economical delivery service of our choice, normally 2nd class recorded post. Delivery times for free shipping will vary at between 4 - 7 working days depending on the delivery service used. We reserve the right to remove or change free shipping offers at any time and without prior notice.

Promotion Codes

Promotion codes and coupons only discount goods in your basket, shipping charges are excluded from the discount.

To use a promotion code enter the code on the view basket page in the box provided titled "got a gift voucher or promotion code?" You will need to click "update basket" to apply the code before proceeding through checkout, the shopping basket will confirm if the code has been successfully applied. You must apply the code at this stage as there is no other opportunity to do so and we cannot apply the code for you after you have completed and paid for an order.

Promotion or voucher codes cannot be used in connection with other discounts, promotions or offers. We reserve the right to refuse, remove or discontinue a promotion code or promotional offer at any time without prior warning.

Visitors to the Shop

Customers calling in at our shop in Amesbury can use promotion codes they may have been notified about. Please either print the relevant voucher or make a note of the code and where you saw it. Please remember to tell us you have a code when shopping in store with us, we cannot apply discount codes in store after a transaction has begun.

Promotion or voucher codes cannot be used in connection with other discounts, promotions or offers. We reserve the right to refuse, remove or discontinue a promotion code or promotional offer at any time without prior warning.

one brown cow have taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no errors in the description of the goods and their prices as advertised on this website are correct. Any measurements dimensions or capacities given are approximate only. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery. one brown cow shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website.

availability

All items are subject to availability. On this website we try to show only the items we actually have available but from time to time products do go out of stock, we will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available by emailing you.

refund policy and your right to cancel

Under the distance selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods (with the exception of pierced jewellery and toiletries) order cancellations should be by email or in writing.

exceptions: earrings / pierced jewellery and cosmetics/ toiletries are excluded from refund for hygiene reasons - these cannot be returned for refund or exchange. All other items are firm sale and can only be returned for refund if they are found to be faulty or not as described.

Any problem(s) with you order must be notified to us by email within 7 days of receipt of the goods. Please wait for us to reply (usually inside 3 days) before sending items backs.

All goods for refund must be returned in the original packaging with all labels and packaging intact and in 'fit for re-sale' condition. All items must be returned using Recorded Delivery or a fully tracked shipping service. Original delivery charges and return postage costs will only be refunded if your order is received damaged ( you will be required to retain all the packaging to enable us to claim against the delivery company) is incorrectly supplied, has a fault or is covered under the terms and conditions of a specific product guarantee. Original delivery charges and return postage costs will NOT be refunded if your order is simply unwanted or unsuitable. We will process refunds a quickly as possible and aim to complete a refund inside 7 days of receiving your returned item. Returns made directly to our shop must be accompanied by their original receipt or invoice. A refund payment will be made using the same method or service you used to make the original purchase.

Returns From Overseas:

We strongly advise you to contact us first before making a return so that we are aware of your intention to return.

Please make sure you attach a copy of our original invoice to the outside of the returned parcel clearly stating on the copy invoice that you are returning unwanted new goods, please also indicate on any custom deceleration that you are returning unwanted new goods.
